Greetings from the Principal

West Elementary Families,
It is my privilege to be addressing you as the new principal of Wright City West Elementary School! I am excited for the opportunity to meet your child and get to know you as a family! My aim is to work with you personally to ensure that your family has the best possible educational experience.
I have high expectations for every student while respecting that they are children. I expect them to take responsibility for themselves: treat others with respect, present their best selves to the world and set goals, even if those goals change over time.
I also hold high expectations for myself and our West Elementary team. We will all work hard, in every situation, to engage students directly in finding their individual motivation to reach higher for the best solution to overcoming obstacles. Additionally, it will be good to know we can count on your support when needed. When it comes to your child’s education, it’s critical that we are all on the same team.
To help drive home this concept, we are committed to fulfilling our promise when we say that we are “Dedicated to our Students’ Success” as a district. First, we believe in our responsibility to educate, motivate, care for, and protect your student. Second, we believe in accessing and amplifying each student’s innate talents and abilities.
No matter what grade-level, you can look forward to hearing about fun, exciting, and rewarding school experiences and opportunities that will make this year special. In addition to student achievement and success, we aim to make every year one of personal growth and reflection. In summary, we want you to feel that you are sending your child every day to the best place you could possibly send them.
